About Me

Diana Lisle, Durham, NC

I am an elementary educator by profession, but I love to cook. If there is a special occasion, I love to find the perfect recipe to make. I like trying the same thing several times to perfect it. I'm not very creative usually I get recipes from friends or the internet. Then I make it my own.

Like most of you I am very busy. I don't like fast food so I choose recipes I can make quickly and that don't have a lot of ingredients or clean up. I grew up in the South and in keeping with tradition few things make me happier than fixing someone something to eat. If I know you are coming I am delighted to honor your tastes.

I like to eat healthy and try to eat natural, fresh, non-processed food, but like I said I grew up in the South so I also can appreciate fried chicken and bacon wrapped green beans! I love vegetables, and not just the popular ones. I like brussel sprouts, asparagus, and acorn squash!

Lisle is often mispronounced. Think aisle, isle, or style! They all rhyme! I first stole Lislestyle from one of my students. She was complimenting me on an oufit and proudly proclaimed, "Lislestyle!" I've used it ever since! I hope you enjoy some explorations in my kitchen and share some of yours!
